Reverse circulation drilling is achieved by supplying air through the rods, down to the face to the air hammer, where pressure creates an aerodynamic lifting force that lifts water and sludge up the inner pipe, which, in turn, is located inside each rod.

The sludge, rising up, reaches the reflector, which is located above the rotator, and moves through a sampling hose connected to a cyclone for collecting samples.

Finally, the drilled rock/sludge passes inside the cyclone until it exits through a sample divider attached to the bottom of the cyclone, and then is collected in sampling bags.

Core drilling is a type of fast—rotating drilling in which rock destruction occurs by screwing a diamond crown into the rock. At the same time, the inner part of the rock in the form of a core is preserved, and the destroyed part is brought up together with the drilling mud.
